Are you energised and ready to tackle the new year or are you still holding on to the things that didn't go well in 2024 and it's weighing you down?
Hi, this is Grant Herbert, Leadership and Sustainable Performance Coach, and today I want to help you start your year by leaving your excess baggage behind.
I want to take you through a proven three-step process, one that I use every year, so that you can leave behind the things of 2024 that will hold you back from going to where you want to go in 2025.
The first part of the process is to reflect. Start by reflecting on the year that's just passed with forward-focused reflection. Have a quick look, see where you've been, and learn from what went well and what didn't, but make sure that you keep your eyes forward.
The second part of the process is to refocus. Take a look at what's important to you. Make sure that in the new year, you've planned for your priorities and refocused on the things you wanted to achieve but didn't.
The third part of the process, then, is to relaunch. Now that you've left that baggage behind where it belongs, brought forward the lessons that you need, and refocused on where you are going and why, it's time to hit the start button.
2025 can be your best year yet. Going through this process and preparing yourself — leaving that baggage behind — is like pulling up the anchor and allowing yourself to move forward freely.
I'll see you then.
